Cubs
1st Chorley Cubs… a great place for Chorley’s youngsters to grow
Cubs is the second section in Scouting and is for boys and girls aged 8 to 10½.
Cub Scouts enjoy new adventures while making new friends along the way. Their commitment is recognised by over thirty activity badges. Chorley Methodist cubs programme is designed to ensure they have the opportunity to get most of these before they move on to Scouts. As well as regular weekly meeting, Cub Scouts also enjoy activity days, hikes at weekend and night hikes, weekend camps and pack holidays. We encourage boys and girls from all backgrounds and all abilities to be the best that they can be by:
- Going camping
- Playing games
- Exploring the outdoors
- Trying adventurous activities – such as climbing, sailing and archery
- Meeting people from their local community
- Experiencing the culture of other country
We’ve got loads more planned in 2021, more hikes, more camps more Adventures. We are going on winter camps, we are going to engage in more community projects. There’s much more …see our News and Forthcoming Events and Calendar to keep up with what’ happening at 1st Chorley Cubs. You can see extracts from our near programme below.
